The How a Legacy-Vault Works

Legacy-Vault separates who holds the intention from who enforces it. That separation is what makes the system trustworthy.

When wealth structures fail, it is rarely because of bad intentions. It is because a single person held too much, and wasn't there when it mattered most.

The Estate Holder is the "Heart", the source of all intent, every directive, every decision about what goes to whom. Legacy-Vault is the "Brain", executing those instructions precisely, without bias, without delay, and without a single person able to override the system alone.

The Continuity Problem

Why Estates Fall Apart at the Worst Moment

Paper records degrade. Wills get contested. Trusted people die or disappear. The estate system was never built for permanence, and families pay the price.

One person holds everything
When a sole trustee or executor dies, becomes incapacitated, or goes missing, the entire estate can stall for years, sometimes permanently.
Documents don't survive time
Paper wills burn, flood, or rot. Scanned copies get deleted. Notarized originals go missing in probate offices. Your instructions vanish with your files.
No one knows what happened
Without an immutable audit trail, access attempts, document changes, and key events go unrecorded. Disputes have no ground truth to resolve them.
How It Works

Four Steps. No Single Point of Failure.

Your estate is locked and watched. It opens only after every condition you set has been verified. No shortcuts. No overrides.

01

You Encrypt Your Instructions

Your will, asset list, and distribution directives are encrypted on your device before they ever leave it. We never see the contents.

02

Guardians Hold the Keys

Your chosen guardians each receive a cryptographic key share. No single guardian, not even us, can open the vault alone.

03

The System Watches

Continuous integrity checks confirm your vault remains untouched and your notification chains are active. Any anomaly triggers an alert.

04

Consent Unlocks Everything

When the conditions you set are met, being verified absence, guardian consent, and family dialogue, the vault opens exactly as you intended.

One rule above all: Nothing happens automatically. Nothing happens instantly. Your estate moves only after verified prolonged absence, family dialogue, and multi-guardian cryptographic consent. Legacy-Vault has no override.

The Lineage Engine

Every legacy
has a shape.

Enter your family name. Its cryptographic fingerprint, the same SHA-256 mathematics that seals every Legacy-Vault, grows a tree of light that is yours alone. Identical today, in ten years, in a hundred. No two families match.

“Build something you can outleave, that no one can ever will away.”
System Capabilities

Built for Permanent Protection

A vault for the documents a family cannot afford to lose.

Immutable Will Custody

Your will is encrypted and stored. It cannot burn, flood, or go missing in an office.

Multi-Signature Governance

Your guardians must agree before anything opens. One person cannot do it alone.

Asset Integrity Indicators

You are told the moment someone searches or moves on your land title.

Real-Time Audit Trails

Every check, request, and attempt is recorded. Nothing can be quietly changed.

Security That Doesn't Ask You to Trust Us

We built Legacy-Vault so that even we cannot access your vault. Your data is encrypted before it reaches our servers. Your keys are split across your guardians. We hold nothing that could betray you.

Split-Key Architecture

Your cryptographic key is divided across your guardians using threshold cryptography. A majority must consent before anything unlocks. No single person has the whole key.

SHA-3 512 Integrity Hashing

Every document and instruction generates a unique hash on submission. If anything is tampered with, even a single character, the system detects it and locks down immediately.

HOW YOUR VAULT IS PROTECTED

Your documents are encrypted on your device.

They reach our servers already sealed.

Your key is split between your guardians.

A majority must agree before anything opens.

We cannot read your vault. That is the point.

Fiduciary Governance

Leadership & Operational Authority

Six people, with one job. Your estate moves only how you intended, and never before it should.

Robert Kayiira Kabanda

Founder & Chief Executive

He started Legacy-Vault after watching what happens to a family when an estate has no plan. He leads the platform strategy and the cryptographic design.

Barbara Bukirwa

Chairperson

Chairs the board. Her job is to keep every decision inside Ugandan succession law, and to say no when it is not.

Mackline Ayebazibwe

Chief Operating Officer

Runs operations and holds the client relationships. She writes the policies that let the company grow without cutting corners.

Darius Katondwaki

Chief Financial Officer

Watches the money. Fees stay transparent and the company stays solvent because he checks.

Joy E. Mbabazi

Legal Director & Data Protection Officer

Our lawyer and data protection officer. Every document we hold and every consent we collect passes her desk first.

Aisha Legge

Clients Protector Council

Serves on the independent Clients Protector Council, the oversight body that watches Legacy-Vault on behalf of the families we serve. Her mandate is simple: every client’s interest comes before ours, and someone outside the company makes sure of it.
